Capenter Remanded For Rape

on Friday ordered that a carpenter, Raheem Ishola, 19, be remanded in prison for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl.
According to the police prosecutor, Matthew Arowojaiye, the family of the victim reported the case to the police on October 4.
Arowojaiye alleged that on interrogation, the accused confessed that he forcibly had carnal knowledge of the victim.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty when his plea was taken on Friday in court.
According to Ishola, the victim with two others, came to his room to play and watch film as usual, and he was surprised when her elder brother, invited the police to arrest him.
The presiding magistrate, Mr. I. O. Olawoyin, ruled that the victim be taken to the hospital for examination, and ordered that the accused be remanded in prison pending the outcome of the examination.
