Ogbenjuwa Youth Championship Ends

Exhibition of great soccer talents and celebration among thousands of youths characterised the grand finale of the inaugural edition of Ogbenjuwa Football Championship which climaxed recently in Otukpo, Benue State.

The competition, sponsored by Major General Hou Adoga, Commander of the Infantry Corp, Jaji, attracted 27 clubsides from Otukpo and neighbouring towns.

At the end of a thrilling 90- minute final encounter decided at the Government Model Secondary School, Otukpo, Upu Foresters Football Club emerged champion, thanks to a lone goal victory against Pioneers.

Among the dignitaries that graced the final match were Steven Anyanbe, Special Assistant to the Senate President, David Mark, Edo Aduba, retired FIFA referee, Chief Ogale Oibiokpa, Manager Corporate Affairs, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Onuh Innocent, Chairman Otukpo Local Government, Chairman of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) Chief Oyuiki Obaseki, and a host of others.
