Boko Haram threatens U.S. •Security tightened at American Embassy in Abuja
The Bi-National Commission had recently concluded a wide range of anti-terrorism plans and agreements in Abuja with a further move to embody the conclusions in a Memorandum of Understanding to be signed by the governments of Nigeria and the United States.
Findings by the Nigerian Tribune revealed that the sect is threatening multiple suicide attacks on American targets if the United States get involved in the sect`s battle with the Federal Government through the signing of the MoU.
It was learnt that the sect believed that the intervention of the United States will internationalise the conflicts and destroy all hopes of a dialogue with the Federal Government.
The report even went as far as threatening to kill the American ambassador while unleashing what the group called international jihadist on the country.
An electronic mail to the American embassy in Abuja was, however, not answered even as security has been beefed up in and around the embassy located very close to the Defence House in Abuja.
The road leading to the embassy has been virtually condoned off with stern-looking security operatives manning the area.
The US-Nigeria Bi-National Commission had met in Abuja late January “to find a way to bring peace to the North through both security and political responses and to work with the Nigerian government and others in the international community to promote greater economic development and long-term growth throughout northern Nigeria.”
Victoria Nuland, Department Spokesperson, Office of the Spokesperson, Washington DC, had confirmed that the meeting was to provide counter insurgency support for the Nigerian government in its fight against the sect.

Mr Jonathan must you always talk? At times silience is golden. See the way you said it, as if you are just a common person in the street. Mr Jonatham for crying out very loud, you are The President of Nigeria, stop this jaw jaw, this rethorics, this childlike talks and do something about this despicable monster boko haram. Mr Jonothan you have all the tools and power to remove boko haram and those like then from the surface of this earth and Nigeria for good. Mr Jonathan please if you have no stomack, to do battle with these idiots please say so and depart. All these mayhems and destructions are not sustainable and will bring Nigeria to its knees.

The Nigerian Govt know who they are, but they just refused to step on their toes, this are very powerful people who believe the Country belong to them, it's either they rule or nothing works. they are killing people without nobody apprehending them, instead our so call Security agency are busy carrying bags for their boss wives, collecting 100 naira in the street

Well, I don't support the ideology of the Boko haram but I strongly oppose the involvement of USA in Nigeria's politics. America has been trying to infiltereate Nigeria since the 1980s but now we have given the license to come to Nigeria. We have all it takes to take care of the boko-harams but its just that their struggle is beyond religion alone, it is also ethnically related and they are supported politically by some governors in the North. Since the hausas are not in power, they are making everything to make Nigeria ungovernable for the good for nothing GEJ. To involve USA is the greatest disaster of the century. Look at what happened to Libya now? America are in Nigeria just to protect their own interests and not for the good of Nigeria.

@Viczyem, YOU ARE RIGHT, INVOLVEMENT OF AMERICA IN NIGERIANPOLITICS IS MORE DISASTEROUS THAN BOKO HARAM, THIS SAME AMERIA WILL UNDERGROUND USE EITHER BOKO HARAM OR ANY OTHER GROUP TO DISTROY NIGERIA FOR THEIR SELFISH INTEREST, THATS WHAT HAPPEN IB LIBYA AND OTHER ARAB COUNTRIES.

Is this the rascal tommenting Nigeria and masqurading as boko haram? The answer is capital NO. This clown has no clout or ability to mastermind the havocs and calamities, Nigeria has been going through for sometime now. If this is what Mr Jonathan, his government and security forces can give us or do, then they should give Nigeria a brake. The leaders and those that are masterminding boko haram, are not only close to Mr Jonathan, his government and security forces, but they know who they are. The problem is that, they do not have the guts to name, shame, expose and prosecute them. May be that they know something, which they do not want to share, with the rest of us or they are afraid of them. A person that has no guts, no vision, no plan, no clue is not qualified to be the President of Nigeria. Mr Jonathan should do the right thing, by being frontal with Nigeria, ruling and leadung Nigeria from the front. If he cannot do these then shold please GO AND GO NOW!!

Now let us hit the nail on the head, the truth about boko haram is a very concious and deleberate dangerous strategy by the ruling class in the North to send a very powerful message, to the south and especially to Mr Jonathan, that
1. That he Mr Jonathan must not think of contesting again in 2015.
2. That power must go back to the North in 2015 otherwise Nigeria will burn.
3. That the North has a divine power to rule Nigerian or there will be no peace and that it is not negotiable.
Mr Jonathan has fallen for this shameful move, hence the pussy footing on the fight against Boko haram.
What these northern elites and Mr Jonathan fail to realise is that,
1. They are not The Almighty God.
2. That Nigeria and especially the south of 2012 is not the nigeria or south of 1966.
3. That the people of Nigeria and especially the south, will no longer take it as business as usual and will fight with the last drop of their blood to fight injustice and abuse of naked power.
Do not say that your were not put on notice. I rest my case.
