What is the outcome of your meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan?
He expressed some serious concerns about issues of national security based on the fact that there are calls by Nigerians about the abrupt nature of the imposition of deregulation. The president told us that he has decided to put on hold the issue of full deregulation pending the positioning of certain issues, especially in the areas of palliatives and also agrees that Labour dialogues with the Justice Belgore Committee as regards other issues that underline the whole issue of deregulation and fuel subsidy. Finally, he made an appeal to Labour that considering the fact that there has been serious security reports indicating that there is a likelihood that people outside organised Labour and civil society are likely to hijack the street protests, we came back here and analysed the appeal by Mr President and his innocent lives because of the security situation in the country. We are, however, also going to analyse the issues involved, especially the issue of the committee that we envisaged would work towards coming up with permanent solutions regarding the issue of deregulation.

As it is now, is it the position of the President that they (FG) are going back to the status quo? 
Well, the issue of the pricing is what will be the outcome of the Belgore Committee that will work, maybe in the next two or three days with Labour.

So sir, have you accepted to work with the Belgore committee and continue with the strike?
