Christians should pray against Boko Haram

It is sad that the Islamic sect, Boko Haram has turned Northern Christians into mere chickens as a result of the frequent attacks on them and their places of worship.

Since 1999 till date, ever before the emergence of this dreaded and callous Islamic group, Christians have been victims of several sectarian violence in the northern region. Thousands of Christians have lost their lives and property worth billions of naira destroyed because of unreasonable reasons.

The recent bomb attacks on Christian places of worship in Kaduna, which later resulted in reprisals, is most unfortunate.

It is more painful when we know that Christians are being killed on a daily basis because of the zoning arrangement that was altered after the death of the former president, Alhaji Umaru Musa YarÁdua.

Now, my message is to the Christians-; going by the fact that the relevant security agencies are yet to find a lasting solution to the attacks on Christians and their places of worship, security is everybody’s business now.

Christian leaders should come together and look at ways towards finding solutions to stop these attacks on innocent people.

Christians must pray to God to guide them so that the right steps can be taken at these dangerous times.

God is our only security, not the Joint Task Force (JTF).
