C & S leader asks FG to prosecute arrested Boko Haram suspects

Share

AS the Boko Haram sect is still being persuaded to water down its acts of terrorism, the Prelate of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S), Moses Orimolade (VIII), on Wednesday, charged the Federal Government to work towards bringing members of the sect in its custody and its accomplices to justice.

The church, in a release signed by its Most Eminence, Elder (Dr) L.A. Onyeleonu and made available to the Nigerian Tribune, condemned the indiscriminate and senseless bombings and killings of innocent Nigerians by the sect.

Dr Onyeleonu, who frowned on the development which had thrown the country into a state of confusion, said “I learnt with dismay the escape of the prime suspect in the Madalla bombing. The government should launch a full scale investigation into the matter to bring the suspect and their accomplices to justice.

“I also advise Mr President to overhaul relevant government agencies, especially the country’s security agencies, now that he has noticed the infiltration of his government by the members and sponsors of the sect.

“I appreciate the efforts the government has put in so far, but urge them to put an immediate end to these anomalies. We cannot afford any further waste of innocent lives. Someone has to be held responsible. I urge all Nigerians to continue to pray for the president. I commiserate with the families of the victims of these dastardly acts. May God grant them the fortitude to bear the losses.”
