Okorocha drops 6 commissioners, reshuffles cabinet
THE Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, has reshuffled his cabinet, dropping six commissioners in the state executive council.
The six commissioners were Ejike Uche (public utilities and rural development); Ogueri Enwerem (commerce and industry); Obinna Duruji (information and strategy) and Alex Ogwazuo (culture and tourism).
Others were Mrs Chioma Ogueke (housing and urban development) and Mrs Ann Dozie (women affairs and social development.
The chief of staff, who addressed newsmen after the weekly state executive council meeting, disclosed further that new commissioners-designate had been appointed by the governor and were waiting for the screening and approval of the state House of Assembly.
He said those nominated were Uche Mbanaso; Chinedu Offor; Nnanna Ugochi Okoro; Chima Iwuchukwu; Emma Ekweremba and Charles Onuoha.
The governor, according to the chief of staff, also effected changes in his special advisers and senior special advisers, adding that the list would be made public soon.
