Former Nigerian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ambassador Segun Olusola is dead.

He died on Thursday at the Royal Specialist Hospital at Pako Aguda in Lagos at the age of 78 years.

A close confidant of the late ambassador told the Nigerian Tribune that he was admitted at the hospital two weeks ago.

Ambassador Olusola, a veteran broadcaster, diplomat and ace television producer hails from Iperu-Remo in Ogun State.

He was at a time the Nigerian Ambassador to Ethiopia and the Organisation of African Unity (OAU).

He also served the country in various and private capacities.

He was the founding director of the Players of Dawn between 1958 and 1964 and Theatre Express between 1966 and 1969.

Ambassador Olusola was also Chairman, National Fesstival Committee and the Nigerian Arts Council in 1970; Director, Second All-Nigeria Festival of  Arts and Culture in 1971 and was appointed  Vice-Chairman, Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria Planning Committee for the All African Games in 1973.

Ambassador Segun Olusola was a man of vision, and respectful. He would be sadly missed. He was someone who always believed in peace.
My prayer is that may Almighty Father grant him eternal rest ang give the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Ambassador Olusegun Olusola was a respctful elder statesman and a man of vision who believed in peace always.
My prayer is that may Almighty Father grant his gentle soul eternal rest, and He give the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. The icon would be sadly missed by the whole nation and would always be remembered for his good. deeds.

Can't possibly forget in a hurry the DRAMA series that held Nigerians spell bound for as long as it lasted - VILLAGE HEADMASTER. It was informative, educating and an eye-opener etc. May you rest in the bossom of our Lord. Farewell
