Pastor runs mad while praying for mad man
PEOPLE living at Oke-Ado area of Ibadan, Oyo State, as well as shop owners and automobile dealers along Molete road in the town, on Thursday, watched a drama involving a pastor and a mad man.
The pastor, whose name is Timothy, according to an eyewitness, got to Ososami junctions of Oke-Ado around 5.20 p.m and went to meet the mentally-deranged man, popularly known as Tunde, who was sitting in front of a building in the area.
According to Semiu, a shop owner around the spot of the incident, the pastor began to read the Bible on sighting the mad man, while he moved closer to him and laid the hand on his head.
“At a point, there was a hot argument between the duo, which made the pastor to raise his voice as he was offering a deliverance prayer for Tunde, the mad man. The hot prayer lasted for over 15 minutes before another strange drama began,” Semiu told the Nigerian Tribune.
Speaking further, another witness, an okada rider, said at a point, the mad man removed the pastor’s hand from his head, adding that “suddenly, a strange spirit got hold of the pastor and he began to remove his cloth. He was naked and laid flat on the ground, speaking a strange language, with foam oozing out of his mouth.”
The mad man, it was gathered, initially left him in this position and sat at some distance away from the pastor, before the duo later sat closer to each other, while onlookers watched the strange drama.
The pastor remained in state of insanity until the Nigerian Tribune left the scene of the incident.

It may be that God decided to prevent some innocent people from falling into the hand of a devil who wants to be using HIS name, "through the supernatural", to exploit people. GOD is never an author of confusion.

It's a shame to hear that a Pastor ran mad while delivering a mad man. I read from the bible that..
"But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.Mark 3:27
You can not go into demons' territory without applying the
blood of Jesus to bind them.
If you are familiar with the bible, there was a story of seven sons of Sceva, they loved what Paul did but the motive behind there mission was wrong. They wanted self glory and lack power of God.
"Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15[One day] the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?” 16Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.
17When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor. Acts 19:13-17
If the story is true, the Pastor concerned may not necessary be a fake but lack power and wisdom of God. He could be a Pastor who is seeking for fame or self glory. Many years ago,I encountered a situation close to this, the simple solution is just the BLOOD OF JESUS. You must first cover yourself with the blood of Jesus, then you become untouchable for demons. Sirs, without this, it is possible for demons to torment the person if not immediate like this man but in the night.
If you are a true born again child of God, who has been sanctified by the holy spirit and accepted Jesus as your lord and saviour. You don't have to do much to cast out demons, they all fear the BLOOD OF JESUS. There is power in the blood in the blood of Jesus!
I will suggest a deliverance prayer for this man. I pray for quick restoration in Jesus' Name.

John 5:2-9
2 Now there is in Jerusalem a pool near the Sheep Gate. This pool in the Hebrew is called Bethesda, having five porches (alcoves, colonnades, doorways).
3 In these lay a great number of sick folk — some blind, some crippled, and some paralyzed (shriveled up) — waiting for the bubbling up of the water.
4 For an angel of the Lord went down at appointed seasons into the pool and moved and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was cured of whatever disease with which he was afflicted.
5 There was a certain man there who had suffered with a deep-seated and lingering disorder for thirty-eight years.
6 When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, Do you want to become well? [Are you really in earnest about getting well?]
7 The invalid answered, Sir, I have nobody when the water is moving to put me into the pool; but while I am trying to come [into it] myself, somebody else steps down ahead of me.
8 Jesus said to him, Get up! Pick up your bed (sleeping pad) and walk!
9 Instantly the man became well and recovered his strength and picked up his bed and walked. But that happened on the Sabbath.
AMP
Jesus had and still has the power to heal any disease and could make all that were by the pool whole that day, but no, He healed only one! Yet, at another timE, He healed all that were brought to Him. He wanted God the Father alone glorified! Every pastor or prophet should take a clue from the unfortunate incident and also follow the Master's footsteps. No man can receive anything except it be given from above, including healing!

Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

This brother in trouble is like Peter who walked on the water! But guess what? Every other disciple in the comfort of the boat perhaps laughed when he began to sink. If it were today, they might have branded Peter a “fake disciple”! But the truth was that Peter did what none of them could ever try.
It is sad that instead of organizing a rescue team to help this brother, most people here are worried about whether he was fake or not. But the question is this: who is not a fake “Christian”? If you are able to point out any, then I will tell you he or she is a hypocrite! It is simply a grossly misplaced understanding of the term “Grace”. You should probably go and understudy the meaning and interpretation of Acts 13:39 and Ephesians 2:8-9.
