AS the Boko Haram insurgence assumes a frightening dimension, especially in the northern part of the country, the General Officer Commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major-General Jack Nwaogbo, has assured that the it will soon wither away.

Nwaogbo, who gave the assurance at the interdenominational service held at All Saints Military Church (Protestant), Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos, to celebrate the 2012 Nigerian Army Day, admonished Nigerians not to despair over Boko Haram, saying that everything was being done to end the insurgence.

The GOC, who was represented by Brigadier- General Bamidele Ogunkale, Commander, 43 Division Engineers, said the military men striving to end the menace need prayer because security personnel and institutions had often become targets of Boko Haram attacks.

He implored Nigerians to be vigilant and obedient to constituted authorities.
