ALL is set for the prosecution of all offenders of the fuel subsidy regime, as the presidential committee submits its report today.

Informed sources close to the committee disclosed to the Nigerian Tribune that the committee had finalised and tightened all loose ends for the prosecution of the offenders.

The Aigboje Aig-Imokuede-led committee discovered that all oil makerters during the regime were guilty of collecting money without importing the products.

The source revealed that those marketers cleared by the embattled Honourable Farouk Lawan-led ad hoc committee probling fuel subsidy regime were all indicted in the report, as billions of naira were collected without proof that the products were actually imported.

The 15-man committee recommended that some companies should be made to refund large sums of money, while others should be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent.

The source disclosed that the committee discovered fraud in the importation of fuel and recommended that a proper system be put in place to check such irregularities in the future.

The committee, according to the source, also urged the Federal Government to commence the immediate prosecution of offenders, so that it could build confidence in Nigerians.
