My wife is 30 years old and just delivered our first child three months ago through Caesarean Section (CS). Since then, she has not menstruated. She also complained of pain in her lower abdomen. Something like mucus also comes out from her vagina whenever she takes warm water or dry gin. Is it her inability to menstruate that caused her stomach pain? If it is, please, what can we do?

It is not unusual for a woman not to menstruate for some months after delivery, so that aspect should not be a problem.  However the abdominal pain and vaginal discharge need to be properly investigated to rule out infection as a consequence of the CS. It will be a good idea to allow the doctor who did the operation to check your wife. If it is an infection, the doctor will put her on the appropriate antibiotic. It is equally important to note that the fact that she is not menstruating does not mean that she can’t get pregnant if you have sex with her. This is why it is important for you to use some form of contraception anytime you want to have sex with her.
