If there is any actress whose career has been dogged by controversy, Empress Njamah should be in the forefront. Despite having been tagged a kleptomaniac, lesbian, multiple relationship expert and all what not, she continued to forge ahead. When she got involved with singer, Timaya, the controversy did not stop and both eneded up washing their dirty linen in the public before they eventually went their separate ways. She was also a victim of an apparently morphed photograph in which “she” was seen doing a blow job on a man.

“It is a product of warped minds. It is not only that I am a lesbian, they said I am multiple men person and a kleptomaniac. But it is not true,” she said in an interview while answering a question on the allegation.

Empress got into acting by chance when she followed her brothers to a movie location in Surulere, Lagos one day only to get a role in place of an actress who failed to show up.
