Imesi-Ile Celebrate Isese Odun Iya

Activities marking this year’s annual Isese Odun Iya  of Ogboni Fraternity, Osun State chapter kicks off on Tuesday with traditional dances round the town in Imesi-Ile, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.

According to a release signed by  the Aare Ogboni of Osun State, Oba Adetoyese Olakisan, the three-day programme would witness traditional prayer (Iwure) for the country, offering of sacrifices to the gods and live display of witches and wizard.

Those expected at the programme, according to the release, were the President General of Ogboni Fraternity in Nigeria, Oba Mobolaji Naibi, traditional rulers to be led by  Oba Okunade Sijuwade, Olubuse II, Ooni of Ife,  the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi,  Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Adedotun, Bibiire I, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun and other traditionalists.

The royal host of the programme is Owa Ooye of Imesi-Ile, Oba Enoch Ademola Akinyemi Oyooyo II,  while the venue of the programme  is the Palace Square, Imesi-Ile.
