THE Emir of Kano, Alhaji (Dr.) Ado Bayero, on Friday, returned from a four-week trip to the United Kingdom, hale and healthy, putting to rest rumour making  the round that he has passed away.

This is just as unprecedent crowds trooped-out to the Malam Aminu Kano Internatonal Airport (MAKIA) while major streets leading to the airport were also filled with both old and young to give him a warm reception.

However, the Wambai of Kano, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi while reacting to the rumour, during the week, said they were baseless, assuring that the Emir was hale and hearty and would return on Friday.

While speaking to newsmen at the airport, the Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida and District Head of Dala, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, said, he was surprised when he heard about the rumour of the death of the Emir because, according to him, they were in touch with him all the time. 

It is recalled that Alhaji Bayero, took his routine annual leave overseas, where he had some engagements and returned via MAKIA hale and hearty.

The Senior Councillor and Wambai of Kano, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, led other emirate council members including the Galadiman  Kano, Alhaji Tijjani Hashim, to welcome the Emir.
