All roads lead to Ilupeju, Lagos on Monday,  July 23, 2012, as the first executive governor of the state, Dr. Lateef Kayode Jakande, (CON), will be marking his 83rd birthday.

The octogenarian, who is also an accomplished journalist and media executive, is a thoroughbred administrator and one of the best Nigerian politicians.

Parts of the programmes earmarked for his birthday celebration include a thanksgiving prayer to be led by the Imam Agbarigidoma of Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria between 10am and 2pm in the afternoon.

General reception will also hold at 2, Bishop Street, Ilupeju, Lagos, between 2pm and 4pm, while a thanksgiving prayer to be led by the Chief Imam of Ilupeju Central Mosque will similarly hold between 4pm and 6pm.

The ceremony will climax with a Ramadan breakfast between 6pm and 7pm at the same venue.
